Our Mud’s green!
ODD have made environmental responsibility one of our top priorities.

We’re aware that mud buggies and petrol engines don’t exactly “fit” the conventional perception of eco-friendly, but we’d like you to know that in fact we have made environmental responsibility one of our top priorities. From conception, the team at odd devised a green action plan to ensure minimal impact.
It’s why we chose ‘clean’ laser combat over paintball (plus it’s much more fun).
It’s why we chose ‘clean’ clay pigeon shooting – no wads, shot or broken clays to contend with (plus five times more shooting!).
It’s why we chose hovercrafting. Hovercraft fly over a surface on a cushion of air, there’s no prop in the water, and the new four-stroke engines are much quieter and fuel efficient.
Bio fuels will soon be easily available; allowing us to run mud buggies on renewable fuel. Rage, the designers of our racing buggies, and engine suppliers Honda recognise it is the way forward and are working toward this.
In the meantime we made the decision to offset carbon emissions from our activities via www.climatecare.org.
With regard to our immediate environment we consulted environmental experts and are following their recommendations. In addition we have established a two acre wildlife sanctuary and are landscaping with native tree and shrubs.
Our reception building runs on 100% renewable electricity. Rain water from the roof is collected and stored for washing the vehicles, and the loos are connected to a biocycle sewage system. We also have a recycling system in place.
